Rebel Clutches

En primera instancia me gustaría manifestarme en contra del terrorismo así como también mostrarles mis condolencias a las víctimas de estos actos inhumanos.
Fist of all, I want to express my feelings against terrorism as well as showing my respects to the victims of those inhuman acts.


El estilo rebelde ha sido uno de los más utilizados por los diseñadores en esta última temporada, ejemplo de ello son las colecciones de Gyvenchy y Alexander Wang entre otros. Además, debería subrayar la importancia que ha alcanzado el clutch últimamente que creo que es debido a que su uso se ha extendido combirtiéndose en un comodín elegante y moderno a la vez -dos adjetivos que no obligatoriamente acompañaban a éste en temporadas anteriores-. He seleccionado algunos, los que más me han gustado.
Rebel style has been one of the most used for designers in their pasts collections. Moreover, it is important to highlight the importance that clutches have reached as they have spread themself as both elegant and modern, two adjectives that used to be untight when we talked about clutches in the past. Here you have a selection of the ones I wouldn't mind to own.


Original y bastante rebelde, este clutch que combina cristales de Swarovski y perlas y flores y calaveras me dejó impresionada. Es una mezcla increíble. Además, su encanto recae en como se puede llevar: con los nudillos! Está hecho en Italia y es de Alexander McQueen.
An Italy made ornate knuckle duster with a skull and Swarovski crystal by Alexander McQueen. The mix of flower ring + Swarovski crystal + pearl + skull amazes me! In red, so stylish, cool and sofisticaded. My fav!

Y si no te atreves a llevarlo en rojo, también está en negro. A mi parecer, una opción menos sofisticada y claramente más arraigada al estilo punk: ¡rebelde en toda regla! También es de Alexander McQueen y puede ser tuyo por el módico precio de 1,595$.
And if you don't dare to wear it in red, you have the chance do wear it in black. Less sofisticaded and, with a clear touch of punk style, much more rebel! Note: its price is 1,595$!

Y otro de Alexander McQueen también con cremalleras, otra vez. A mi parecer una opción más formal (y atrevida si le añadimos los guantes).

No podría ser una selección completa si no hubiera escogido uno con tachuelas! Lo encuentro muy mono. Elegante y muy in. Aquí tenéis mi segundo favorito, firmado por la filial de Prada, Miu Miu.
And... it couldn't be a great selection :P if it would miss a studded one! I fint it so super nice. Elegant and so in fashion. So here you gave one by Miu Miu.

No podía faltar uno de Jimmy Choo y tampoco el print animal, esta vez en fucsia. No me acaba de convencer al 100% pero combinado con un LBD apuesto a que ganaría.
I don't like it specially but I think it would look nicer with a LBD. A pink-fucsia leopard printed clutch by Jimmy Choo.

Alexander Wang Resort 2010

En la última colección de Alexander Wang Resort los vestidos negros de fiesta parecen tener menor importancia dentro de la colección. AW Resort salió a la venta el pasado 16 de Junio siendo compuesta por una mezcla de ropa deportiva, camisetas senzillas, tejidos tejanos y, en general, looks frescos y aparentemente poco estudiados, adjetivos que se han convertido ya en su firma. Bajo mi punto de vista, una colección muy agradable a la vista y sobretodo muy llevable. ¿Un plus? Abbey Lee como imagen.

In Alexander Wang's latest Resort collection black party dresses play a more minor role than they had. The collection that hit stores on June 16 is full of sportswear, denim, tees and, generally talking, effortless looks -even in looks made of dresses- that made in present and past Wang's signature.

Relax, deporte y refrescos en chiringuitos estilo hawaiiano.
July evenings are made of sand, sun and sea.
Relaxing, sunbathing, doing some sport and having a drink in beach bars.

Abbey Lee for Chanel Fall 09 Haute Couture

I see her as the perfect face for Chanel. That's maybe because since I 'discovered' Abbey I've followed her. Or maybe because she always looks great! As an advice, I told you once to keep watching for that face ;)

Haute Couture

I have always said you cannot imagine yourself wearing one of those amazing outfits exactely like they are shown on the runway. This is haute couture, cmon! Clothes are made specially for and exactely the way people-who-can-afford-them like. Enlarge a dress or make it shorter, with or without a certain detail and in almost any colour you like. The designer does it personalized for you. That's the main point.

Someone once said haute couture is an art. I agree. If not, what does 'art' mean? And someone once compared those 'pieces of art' to an economic investment as they are not able to be bought by everyone.

Summer Ideas: Chloé ss 09

You've probably seen Chloé's ss09 but...
how about having another look to this delicious collection?
Moreover now it's summer and we need ideas!

Seguramente habréis visto esta colección unas mil veces pero no puede pasar por alto y menos ahora que estamos en verano ¡y necesitamos ideas!

Shorts en tonos pastel, blanco y terracota combinados con colores clásicos o... ¡imposibles!
Mi favorito es el de la camisa verde y los pantalones en ocre.
Me sorprendió ver lazos como cinturones.

Soft colour shorts matched with classical and impossible colours.
My fav is the one in the green shirt.

Vestidos, pantalones piratas, traje chaqueta y monos.
Todos ellos tienen en común que son de talle alto y se ensanchan en la cadera.
¡El rosa pastel me encanta!

Dresses, pirate pants, jacketsui and jumpsuits.
They all have in common they high waist and widen hips.

Como siempre, las fotos de backstage nos permiten fijarnos en detalles que quizás en la pasarela pasaron por alto además de dar una imagen todavía más fresca a la colección.

As usual, pictures of backstages let us notice about some details that perhaps were overlooked in the runway. In addition, they give a fresh look to the collection.
