I have always said you cannot imagine yourself wearing one of those amazing outfits exactely like they are shown on the runway. This is haute couture, cmon! Clothes are made specially for and exactely the way people-who-can-afford-them like. Enlarge a dress or make it shorter, with or without a certain detail and in almost any colour you like. The designer does it personalized for you. That's the main point.
Someone once said haute couture is an art. I agree. If not, what does 'art' mean? And someone once compared those 'pieces of art' to an economic investment as they are not able to be bought by everyone.
